This course is designed to build your understanding of the tools and processes that are available to support the inter- and intra-health authority relocation of patients, clients, and residents in the event of an evacuation.
Objectives of this course include:
- Ensure a people-centered, culturally-safe, and risk-based approach is embedded throughout the evacuation, transportation, and reception phases.
- Increase the preparedness of potential sending and receiving sites and improve the confidence of those involved.
- Clarify role/responsibilities of the key partners involved in supporting each phase of the relocation process.
- Provide guidance on strategies to facilitate communication amongst all responding partners and the impacted communities/families.
