Welcome to the UPCC Wound Care Consolidation Class, a focused session designed to help our frontline team simplify product selection and build confidence in wound assessment. Our goal isn't for you to memorize every product on the shelf, but to master the wound prevention and management cycle—a five-step framework that guides you from initial assessment to final evaluation.

Today, we will review the specific wound care flow within Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) and dive into practical management strategies for the common etiologies we see here, including skin tears, road rash, and minor burns. By the end of this session, you will have the tools to identify "what happened," establish a baseline, and select the right treatment for your patient's specific needs.
